auburn!

Hello everyone!

So Auburn is super fun! I love it. It's all forest-y and we have a family of deer as neighbors. They are so cute.
It's been raining a lot lately, and we had a thunder/lightning storm for the FIRST time on my mission! It was the greatest thing ever!
So I'm really sorry I haven't emailed in a while. I'm kinda lazy and it's getting to the point that I don't know what to write.
Yesterday we had a miracle happen! We were sitting in church and our zone leaders texted us and said we were going to have a baptism next week (with we didn't have any plans and we didn't know what they were talking about) so after sacrament meeting, we went outside and called them. Turns out there was a girl that came to their ward with a friend and walked up to them and said she wanted to be baptized, and she wanted to be baptized next week!!! She had just spent a week with a friend (who is a recent convert) at BYU-I, and she was taught the first 3 lessons there and knew it was true. CRAZY!!! We have our first meeting with her tonight. So I am super excited! I'm still trying to figure out if it's real or not.
Also yesterday we were driving to dinner but we were a little early so we saw two guys walking down the street and I said to my companion (half-jokingly) I have always wanted to just roll down the window hand someone a book of Mormon and then drive away. Sister Bodily said let's do it so we made a loop and stopped and rolled down the window and we handed the book of Mormon to the two guys (they were kinda punks) and told them we were missionaries and told them about the book. And we also gave them pass along cards for the new easter initiative. (If you haven't seen it go on mormon.org right now and watch it) they asked some questions. Half of them were jokingly and half were serious. We answered their questions and then left. It was so fun and I want to do that more often. It made my day.
So Ya that's the miracles that have happened since being in Auburn! I hope you all have a wonderful week! I love you all!

Transfers?

Well, lots of things have happened since my last email.

Transfers are Tuesday and I am being transferred again! Two times in a row. But this will most likely be my last area before I go home. I am being moved to Auburn! And I am now an STL (Sister Training Leader) so that's cool.
I only have 2 transfers left (12 weeks) until I come home. So that's weird.
Also, last week Elder Ballard came to Chico and we had a special stake conference with him.
The missionaries had the opportunity to meet him after the conference. So that was super cool! He told us how to be even better missionaries. It was really inspirational.

Also one of my really good friends is going home so I had to say goodbye to her today. It was really sad. This was her dying picture.

Also today my zone leader felt super sick and and stomach pains. The nurse had him go to the ER and now he is getting his appendix removed. Two other sisters went to the ER this transfer as well, so Ya. It's been a weird transfer.
I love you all and hope you have had a wonderful week!

Willows

Hello everyone!
Isn't it a beautiful day today? This week has been a pretty good week.
This week we had an investigator named Doug Ross get baptized. It was awesome!
I love being able to witness the joy the gospel brings to people lives. It is the best thing about being on a mission. Watching people come Closer to Christ and it changing their life.
That was pretty much the highlight of the week. Willows is very small and has been tracted multiple times so work is a little slow and can be hard at times but that's okay. It wasn't easy for Christ so it won't be easy for us.
Love you all and hope you have a good week.

Another Transfer

Hey everyone, sorry know haven't emailed in awhile.
I am now in Willows. We had transfers and I moved. Willows is a very small town for those of you who don't know.
My new companions name is Sister Rosa. She is from Indonesia. She's very cute and very quiet.  Sorry I don't really have too much to say, my mind is going a million different directions right now but I promise a better email next week.
I love you all and hope you had a wonderful week! And wish you a good week this week!
Have some pictures!

Hello!

Hello everyone!
I am so sorry I haven't emailed in a few weeks.
Life has been crazy, and to be honest I have been a little lazy.
To start, Chico is good. Our area is super big. We do a lot of driving. It's good though because I love driving.
I am struggling to learn Spanish, and I kinda feel bad in lessons because I don't understand everything that is going on. It makes it a little more difficult to learn because my companion speaks both English and Spanish so language study is not a top priority for her, she just wants to go see people, which is understandable.
I just find myself trying to hurry and study during lunch, dinner (when we aren't at someone else's house), and before bed and sometimes in the morning if I can find the time.
Ummm what else to say... Yup I don't really know.
I hope you have all had a good week! Love you all!

Merry Christmas!

We got to Skype with Sis. Lloyd yesterday and it was fantastic!
She is doing well, and is now in Chico learning Spanish.
We love her lots, and can't wait to see her in May!

¿Hermana?

Well, this week is transfer week, and I'm being transferred. Here is my problem. I'm now a zebra.... for all those who don't know what that means, I am now double covering an English and a Spanish ward. My companion is a Spanish missionary. So I get to learn Spanish! Never saw that coming. Haha.  I guess I better learn fast!

So this last week we went to the temple which was amazing! We also got to go to the temple grounds a few days later for a live nativity. We got to go with the ward family and our investigators the Feliz family. It was so much fun. We walked around the temple before and then went and saw the nativity. I felt the spirit super strong.

Yesterday was spent saying goodbye to people. Today was spent packing. So sorry I don't have much more to say. I love you all!

Christmas is Near

Hello everyone!

I am so excited for Christmas!!! Are you? It's one of my favorite times of the year!

This past week we had the ward Christmas party. The ward missionaries were in charge of it so we got to help out a lot. It was Polar Express themed! It was so much fun! I sent some pictures.

We also were able to help the widows and elderly couples in our ward put up their Christmas decorations! It was so fun!!! The people in this ward are so sweet! I will miss his area when I leave.
Transfers are coming up on the 13th so next week we will find out if I'm leaving or not.

Also this week we were able to put one of our investigators on date for baptism! His name is PJ! We are super excited for him! He is such a wonderful person!

I got to watch the Christmas devotional last night! It was so good! I loved all the talked but I especially liked the analogy of the Christmas presents. The Savior has given us so many gifts, but how many are we actually opening and using? I hope we all can look at how blessed we are and strive to remember to be thankful and use the things god has given us!

I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!!

If you would like to send it directly to her, let me know and I can get you her personal address. Have a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello everyone!
I hope you have all had a good week! My week was good.
We had zone conference on Tuesday, we got to see the Christmas initiative video! It's so good just so everyone knows! We get it the day after Thanksgiving!!! I'm so excited!!! When we left it was raining, but it was weird. It was mist instead of rain. So that was interesting.
On Thursday we had a zone service project. We went and served Thanksgiving lunch to a senior center. It was a lot of fun! Also later that day we sat out in the cold dark rain for a lesson with an investigator. #Dedication! Neither of us had an umbrella haha.
Last night we went to dinner at our ward mission leaders house, it was pretty funny because they have a 1 year old who was afraid of my black tights! Haha it was so funny! Every time he saw them he started crying. I ended up just taking them off because of how scared he was. But ya ๐Ÿ˜‚ We had some good lessons with our investigators this week. Hopefully we will put one of them on date soon. But anyways that was my week! I love you all and hope to hear from you!

Mission Birthday

Hello everyone! Guess what Friday is?!? It's my mission birthday! Year mark! Yay!
So, Tuesday was transfers, and my new companion's name is Sister Johnson. It's funny because we didn't spend a full day together until Friday.  Tuesday she didn't get here until 6. Wednesday I was at the mission office until 4:30 setting up iPads. Thursday she had a leadership meeting until 5. So it has been a crazy week.
Okay so the youth here in this area, are amazing. As a zone we are teaching a lot of high schoolers. It's really cool it all started when one missionary left and it has just dominoed from there.
We just picked up a new investigator named PJ. He is a high school student. And is super interested in learning about god. I can't wait to see where it goes. You are never too young to do missionary work!

We are also a four sister mission apartment now, so that's fun. Here's some pictures:

Transfers

Happy Halloween everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful week!
So, transfers are tomorrow, Sister Price is leaving ๐Ÿ˜• She is going to Roseville. My new companion's name is Sister Johnson. I have never met her, so I will tell you how it goes next week. Also, we are getting 2 more Sisters in our apartment. They are splitting some of the areas so the Sisters are moving in with us and new Elders are taking their apartment. It should be crazy and fun! ๐Ÿ˜„ We have bunk beds now, so that's fun!

So the work in this area is struggling a bit right now. Within the last transfer, we have gone from 25 investigators (9 of them progressing) to 9 investigators (1 of them progressing). I'm hoping with the transfer, we will be able to change that. We have split our area into 5 smaller areas, to make finding easier and more time and mileage efficient. And this last week I made a list of all the streets in each area, so we can tract each one, and keep track of each street.

This week we had a ward Halloween party which was super fun! We had a less active and a potential investigator come, which was amazing!!! It was a lot of fun. We did a chili cook-off/ trunk-or-treat. Our mission president said no dressing up, but he said nothing about makeup, so I went as a doll and my companion wanted to be a cat. It was a so much fun, and it was so good to see our potential investigator ( she is still a potential only because she has some tough family stuff going on so we haven't had a chance to meet with her again, she is pretty interested though). She is really good friends with our ward mission leader's wife.

But yeah, that was about my week. I hope you are all doing well. I would like to hear from everyone, so if you get a chance shoot me a quick email and let me know how you are doing. I might not have a chance to email everyone individually but know that I love you all and miss you!!!

Crazy P-Day!

Hello everyone! Sorry, but this will be a short email. Today we got to go to a members farm and spend the day. They have a pond, tennis/baseball court, volleyball, a trampoline, and some other stuff. So it's been a fun day. Also, Sister Biernesser came back for a visit! She has been home for 6 months! So I got to spend time with her today. It's been good! Also, it's been raining a lot this week. I hope you have all had a good week!

It's Monday

Hello everyone! How have you all been? I hope you have all had a wonderful week! My week has been pretty good. We were able to find a family this week that is interested in hearing the gospel! So that's good!! We also were able to meet with a woman who is interested form a informational stand point. ( at least that's what she thinks ๐Ÿ˜‚)
Also this week, we were invited to a relief society dinner, we were supposed to bring to of our favorite things. So me and my companion brought silly string and Book of Mormons. Well there was a none member there, and she ended up with the Book of Mormon at the end. It was super funny and ironic!
Well I don't really know what to say so here are some pictures.

Conference and Yogurt

I don't have a lot of time to write a weekly email to everyone, so I will just write one to you guys! I love you all and miss you! I am doing good! And I thought conference was wonderful!

It was Sister Prices year mark this week so we all went to get frozen yogurt.

Okay I look awful in this picture but president and his family joined us for the Sunday morning session.

Transfer Week

Hello everyone!

So this week was slow and long. It was a transfer week which means everything is slow and long. I am a tech missionary so on Wednesday I went to the mission office to help set up the greenies iPads. That was fun. I got to see some missionaries that I haven't seen in awhile.
Missionary work is slow right now, but that's okay, we are doing our best and working hard. Umm, not a lot happened this week. So.... here are som dumb pictures haha.

Long Time, No Email

Hello everyone! Well... it's been awhile since I have emailed. Well, at least it feels that way.
I hope everyone has been doing well. Guess what tomorrow is?!? TRANSFERS!!! And guess what!?! I'm staying here! Haha surprise๐Ÿ˜‚
Well, other than that, this week I got to go to the temple!! It was interesting because the session we were told to ended up being in Mong. So it was different, but good.๐Ÿ˜„
But ya I don't really know what else to say. Not a lot has been going on. Haha. I hope you all have a good week!
