Update and Photos

Hello everyone!

This week was fun. Last Monday we went to a museum, which was pretty cool!
Tuesday we did some service at a place called the salt mine. It's run by another church and the guy who runs it likes to talk about our religion and ask questions. He isn't interested really, he said he wants to know whether he is against us or not. Haha I don't really now what that means but whatever.
Wednesday we had some good member present lessons.
Thursday we had a pretty good day, lots of lessons we had service that morning at the salt mine.
Friday we had a car fast, so we walked everywhere, that night we had dinner with a wonderful member. She is a single mom with too little girls. Super amazing.
Saturday we ran into some people we had found a lost dog. The had forgotten their phones so we helped and called the number on the tag. Turns out it was a member! And it was a good thing we called when we did because the were just about to leave for Lake Tahoe.
Sunday was good, we had stake conference. And afterwords we were visiting people, and we saw a dinosaur. So all in all this week was a pretty good one!

I hope you are all doing well!

Welcome to Lincoln

Hello everyone!
This week has been a crazy one. On Monday I had to say goodbye to some of my friends, because it was time for them to go home. It was really sad and I cried.
And then on Tuesday I said goodbye to Citrus Heights and my companions, and left to my new area and met my new companion. I am the driver here.
So on Wednesday we were out trying to find a potential investigator, we missed the house and I was making a u-turn and I killed the front tire on a sharp storm drain!!! I was not very happy, but right as we were about to put on the spare a member drove by and helped us turns out we were right next to his house, and it was a good thing too because our spare was low on air. So he filled it and we were able to get the tire fixed on Thursday.
Also on Thursday was my 9 month mark!!! Half way!! I got a package, which was super great (thanks family!!!)
Friday, I don't really remember what happened, Saturday I wasn't feeling well.
And then Sunday the fire alarm went off during relief society! Haha the primary was using a fog machine, which set it off. It was pretty funny to see all the women running out of the room either to find their kids or to get outside first haha.
Then today is p-day and we went to a museum which was cool. But ya that's my week. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Also, in other exciting newsSister Morrison got asked on a date this last week! Hahahahahaha it was so funny one of our investigator's friends texted us on Wednesday. I felt super bad but at the same time I was laughing so hard.

I thought there was something else I was going to tell you but I can't remember. If I remember I will tell you all next week. I have a lot of stuff to do so I will talk to you all next week.

Text from a Member Family

We got a text and some pictures from a member family in Sis. Lloyd's area a couple days back (I just forgot to post them).

'Greetings from within the California Roseville Mission.
We were blessed to have our Sister Missionaries over for dinner tonight and we wanted to share your missionary's smile!'

Half Way!

This week (on the 11th) is Sister Lloyd's half way mark! 9 months down, 9 to go!

Crazy Week

So this week has been interesting. On Wednesday a member took us to lunch and we were sitting outside eating. Out in the street there was a car that had stalled, and it wasn't starting (there are 3 lanes of traffic and he so in the lane furthest from us) we called to him because a couple minutes had passed and he was still stuck. We asked if he would like us to help him. He said yes so we ran out into the street, and it took until then for some men to run out ( the couldn't have girls show them up haha) we pushed his car to a gas station not very far away. He thanked us and we left. We walked back to the restaurant to find our member laughing her head off. And some people inside the restaurant laughing and giving us thumbs up. I guess it was quite comical to see three sister missionaries run out in the street so fast.

Also this week we had a lesson scheduled with one of our investigators. We went to meet him at a sandwich shop (that's the only place he can meet) and there were lots of guys there. Most of them were JWs so it was a super interesting lesson. We were teaching our lesson and more and more people would pull up a chair and we ended up teaching like 6 different lessons. One guy we got a return appointment with, one guys was flirting hard core with one of my companions, and another guy was trying to bible bash, but all in all it was a pretty good day.

We went to the return appointment with the guy we met at the sandwich shop. We met at Starbucks, and by an odd turn of events a pastor from another church showed up and sat an listened to us as well. We ended up splitting the lesson and my companions taught our new investigator and I talked/ taught the pastor. He had a lot of questions about the atonement and our beliefs on heaven. So that was fun. At the end of the lesson we found out that an elder from the JW church wants to meet with us... Not sure what we are going to do, we don't want to bible bash but at the same time if he has questions who are we to deny him
the answers.

On Friday we decided to do a zone car fast, so we were biking. We were on the way to the church to meet the zone leaders, and on the way I suddenly got really weak and my vision started to get blurry. I got off my bike and sat down because I didn't want to pass out on my bike. The elders showed up luckily in there car, and they rode our bikes to the church, and we took the car. Turns out I got heat exhaustion. So that was fun... We got to use our car for the rest of the day.

So all in all, this week has been weird, crazy, but good! I hope you all have a fantastic rest of your day!

Jesus Loves You!
